About Us
This web site was born out of the realization that we Christians in the USA, in the midst of such opportunity and abundance, do so embarassingly little for the cause of Christ. We take our jobs more seriously than we do our service to God. We have more interest in our televisions than we do in our relationship with God. Having a nice car, house, money in the bank, good clothes are more important than evangelism, helping others, and building the church.
Yes, this is hyperbole -- not every Christian in the USA is like this. But the vast -- VAST -- majority of us are.
What a shame that we sit around watching television, arguing like children over the color of the church carpet, being consumed by leisure time and recreational activities, while our brothers and sisters around the world are suffering incredible persecutions for the name of Christ.
I don't want you to feel guilty. Guilt doesn't achieve anything -- too many church leaders use "guilt" and manipulation as a carnal substitute for the Holy Spirit.
I want us to think about what we're doing ... and about what we can do. I want us to allow the Holy Spirit to penetrate the materialistic worldview that our environment and upbringing have woven around us.
I want us to understand that we can do something. In fact, since we have so much more than our brothers and sisters in the rest of the world, we should be able to do more than them.
The sole purpose of this web site is to provoke each of us to ask, "What have I done for Jesus today?"
